    The Profile menu item had a bug that may have prevented you from updating your profile. When you clicked the Profile menu tab, you were incorrectly redirected to smcgs.wildapricot.org rather than remaining on smcgs.org. The bug is fixed now, so please try again.

    The library at Cañada College is now open with reduced hours.  See the Library Information page for opening times and contact info.

    Please note that parking permits will NOT be required for the Fall semester only.

    You can now access this website using the URL smcgs.org rather than smcgs.wildapricot.org, although both URLs are valid. When logging in, be sure to use your new password rather than the one you used on the old website.

    We are sad to announce the loss of another valued SMCGS member, Ruth Satterthwaite. Ruth worked behind the scenes in the library, managing all our periodicals, and she was a cheerful volunteer on many SMCGS projects. Do you have memories of Ruth that you would like to share?     Barry Hinman, a valued long-time member of SMCGS and Librarian Emeritus at Stanford University, passed away recently. We would like to have an article in our next newsletter with people’s remembrances of him. Do you have memories of Barry that you would like to share?     The field in the Member Profile previously called "Research topics" has been renamed to "Locations." This was done to clarify the purpose of the field, which is to help members search for other members who are researching the same locations

    The SMCGS Library is housed in the Cañada College Library. If the college reopens, we may be able to open our library. On June 14, the Daily Journal posted an article on reopening plans for San Mateo County colleges: College reopening accelerated.
